The Brut Tradition Original 60/40 is made up of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from two vintages which are fermented with natural yeasts in stainless steel.  It's extremely classy with a great depth of flavour showing apple fritter and brioche with fresh apple and lemon drop charatcters.  We are delighted to have these wines on our shelves, and also very lucky seeing as most of the production ends up on the tables of some of France's best Michelin Starred restaurants.

Champagne Blend

This cuvée is salmon-pink in colour. It has a beautiful effervescence with a string of fine bubbles. On the nose, flavours of ripe strawberry followed by raspberry. On the finish and once the wine has warmed up slightly, notes of quince, blood orange and verbena are revealed. The well-balanced palate is dominated by notes of strawberry, raspberry but also pink grapefruit and lemon.  The extra dry classification means that there is actually some sweetness to this beautiful cuvee from Gosset, making a great match to desserts which aren't overly sweet as well as afternoon tea.

Delavenne are an outstanding family run grower based in Bouzy making elegant, organic and vegan friendly Champagnes exclusively from their Grand Cru vineyards.  Minimal intervention and no malolactic fermentation means that the wines are clean and lively with a distinct purity.  This amazing rosé has wonderful red fruit (strawberry and raspberry) character with hints of rose petal and baked apple.  The palate contains a bit of weight and a creamy texture making it great as a food wine.

There is no denying the class of Bollinger and their distinctive dry, full bodied style is world renowned.  60% Pinot Noir with 25% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier, the wine contains a large amount of reserve wines, some of which is aged in magnum for between 5 & 15 years, developing complexity to add to the finished product.  Complex, lively and beautifully poised, this is one of the few Grand Marque Champagnes we stock as it's a staff favourite that never fails to disappoint.
