Syrah Blend

The Les Chirats Syrah/Viognier is a wonderfully floral and elegant blend of 90% Syrah and 10% Viognier from vineyards around Saint Joseph.  The practice of adding a small proportion of Viognier to Syrah is common in Cote Rotie and helps to add softness and aromatics to the Syrah from this part of the Northern Rhone.  This wonderfully friendly and approachable red wine is fermented on Condrieu lees which gives the wine even more aromatics. Enticing blue and black fruits on the nose are joined on the palate by more savoury leathery notes and hints of peppery spice.  The mineral-tinged finish is finely poised showing evidence of the granite soils.

The SGZ by Silent Noise is an immensely enjoyable wine and is an unsual blend of Shiraz, Grenache & Zinfandel made in a very fresh, approachable style. Upfront, the aromas are boiled sweets and white cherries followed closely by a young vibrant perfume and notes of orange oil. On the palate there's bright red mouthfilling fruit with undertones of savoury dusty dark berry fruits and spice.

This wonderfully open and expressive blend of Syrah and Marcellan is made without any addition of sulphur.  Medium/deep in colour, the nose and palate is brimming with blackcurrant and violet.  Rounded, fresh and a pure joy to drink, this lovely red wine has the emphasis firmly on depth of fruit.
