Grillo

The Bianco Maggiore Grillo comes from organic grapes grown in Marsala in western Sicily.  The wine is packed with a heady mix of zesty grapefruit and tropical fruits underpinned by fine minerality, lasting through the long, balanced finished. Grapes at Cantine Rallo tend to be harvested earlier than their neighbours, leading to a characteristic freshness in their wines.

2024 Hunting Hill Chardonnay, Kumeu River

The 2024 vintage is a fantastic one for Hunting Hill. Even though the yields were low, the fruit was pristine and beautifully ripe. The aroma of 2024 Hunting Hill is quite reticent in its youth, but you can get glimpses of the typical lemon/lime blossom fragrance and a touch of flintiness. The palate is concentrated and long showing the density of the low yield. This is a fabulous Hunting Hill that will show its best with 7-8 years of bottle age.

2024 Lo & Behold Chenin/Viognier, WO Swartland

Chenin Blanc Blend

The Lo & Behold white is very grown up for such a humble price tag.  Made from 90% Chenin Blanc, 10% of which is aged in french oak, the remainder naturally fermented in stainless steel, plus 10% Viognier that is fermented in cement tanks.  The wine is blended before bottling, resulting in a fresh and vibrant wine with citrus and pear fruit alongside more tropical notes.  The finish is long and balanced and leaves one wanting more!

2024 Pouilly Fuisse, Dom. Christelle Greffet

Domaine Christelle Greffet is a small, traditional estate situated in Solutre-Pouilly and is worked by hand by the 4th generation.  This beautiful Pouilly Fuisse sees a traditional fermentation and ageing in oak Tuns.  The oak imparts texture as opposed to inherently oaky characteristics, resulting in a wonderful Burgundy with some depth and richness alongside the flinty freshness and notes of honey.

Vachnadziani was established in 1953and is one of the oldest wineries in Georgia. This is the flagship wine from Vassaltis and showcases Santorini Assyrtiko at it's best.  Hand harvested fruit is whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless with the finished wine resting on lees for 7 months.  This terrific white wine is typically intense with powerful mineral and pumice stone characters mingling with ripe tropical fruits, saline tinged acidity and intense citrus flavours on the finish.
