2023 Vassaltis Assyrtiko, Santorini

Assyrtiko

This is the flagship wine from Vassaltis and showcases Santorini Assyrtiko at it's best.  Hand harvested fruit is whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless with the finished wine resting on lees for 7 months.  This terrific white wine is typically intense with powerful mineral and pumice stone characters mingling with ripe tropical fruits, saline tinged acidity and intense citrus flavours on the finish.

2020 Prinos Syrah, Diamantakis, Crete

Syrah/Shiraz

The Prinos Syrah from Diamantakis is a youthful purple with red hints in the glass. On the nose this Syrah is fresh and aromatic with a bouquet of black pepper and blackberries, followed by scents of violet typical of the variety. Medium-bodied with balanced acidity and tannins give a rich, juicy and velvet mouthfeel.

Terre de Zeus Malagousia Navitas.JPG

2023 Terre de Zeus Malagousia, Navitas Winery, PGI Pieria

Malagousia

The Terre de Zeus Malagousia is a wonderful example of classy, modern Greek winemaking.  Certified Organic, this enticing white wine comes from a 16 hectare, family owned vineyard that sits between 100 and 400 metres above sea level on the slopes of Mount Olympus in Macedonia.  Refreshing and juicy, this dry white has notes of peach and nectarine with crisp citrus tinged, and slightly saline acidity.  There's also a lovely vein of minerality running through the wine that keeps it focussed.
