Description

The Serbal Petit Verdot is a wonderful example of the grape that manages to effortlessly balance power and elegance.  Lots of red and dark fruits mingle on the palate with graphite and spice, finishing with firm yet well-balanced tannins.

Located in the district of San José in Tupungato, Uco Valley, this stunning yet simple winery is the first you will see on the famous ‘Ruta del Vino’, Route 86. The humble slate roofs and drably coloured walls host an extremely impressive modern facility, where winemaker Philippe Caraguel quietly plies his trade, bringing a touch of French restraint to the fruits of these 100% estate-owned vineyards, many of which boast some particularly old vines.

Syrah/Shiraz

The Duc de Belmond Cabernet/Syrah has a lovely deep colour in the glass. The nose shows spice, blackberry and cassis with a whiff of oak, and leads to a palate that is round, smooth and spicy.

The aromas are rich and inviting with juicy blackberry, violet, and anise lending layered complexity. The mid-palate is full and plummy with a touch of toasted oak. This structured yet smooth wine finishes with hints of cola and vanilla.
