The Edgebaston Pepper Pot from David Finlayson wines expertly shows the fruit and spice driven flavours of classic Rhône varietals. The colour is a youthful purple/red and the nose shows crushed black pepper, dark mulberry and mixed berry coulis. A well balanced finish rounds off what is a very popular seller for us.
David Finlayson Wines is situated on 50 acres of South Africa’s finest viticultural real estate in the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountain. They spend 10-15 days fermenting in the tank before being put into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The wine then spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled.
