The 2019 Merlot, Lanzerac is a classic, with a deep red colour ripe red berries, cocoa, chocolate and undertones of mint on the nose. The wine shows a well-balanced tannin structure with a rich velvety body and a lingering aftertaste.
With a history dating back to 1692 Lanzerac is one of oldest wine farms in South Africa and is home to the first bottled Pinotage.
