Description
Nathan Kendall is a well traveled winemaker, having gained experience in Waipara (New Zealand), the Mosel (Germany), Adelaide Hills (Australia) and also closer to home in Sonoma, prior to retunring to his native finger lakes to set up N.Kendall Wines on the banks of Seneca Lake. The philosophy here to produce, classic and restrained styles of wine from healthy fruit with minimal intervention. Long, spontaneous fermentation is followed by extended ageing to enhance texture.
This delightful Cab Franc is more akin to Saumur than the New World style, displaying an abundance of subtly textured, silky fruit, finely poised tannins and a long, balanced finish.
