The property's entire 40 acres have been dedicated to Sangiovese, the most well-known of the indigenous Italian grape varieties. The grapes from the different vineyards are fermented and macerated separately for three weeks. They are then aged in oak for 24 months before being blended and then aged for another six months in concrete vats.

The combination of altitude, south-westerly exposure, and rich volcanic soils in Scansano create one of Italy's most unique microclimates.  Dense ruby red in colour with fragrant floral aromas, notes of red berries and cherries, and a layer of aromatic herbs.  The medium bodied palate is refined and balanced, with well integrated savouriness and soft tannins carrying through to the long and fruity finish.
