G. Miclo is widely regarded as one of, if not the, best producers of Eau-de-Vie and his Poire Williams in particular. The Grande Reserve is made from the best Williams pears and then aged for four years in glass demijohns to allow the alcohol to soften and better integrate with the flavour which gives for great purity of fruit and texture.
