Description

The Margaux Selection from Maison Sichel  (of Chateau Palmer and Angludet fame) is savoury and classic with relatively powerful tannins.  The palate is concentrated with notes of blackcurrant, fig and prune with the classic Left Bank signature coming through on the finish.

Hailing from a top Margaux Chateau in the Sichel stable which we are not allowed to divulge, this wine has great pedigree and represents superb value for money.

2010 Chateau Angludet, AC Margaux

Bordeaux Blend

Chateau Angludet is one of the oldest properties in the Medoc and is owned by the Sichel family, 6th generation Bordeaux Negociants and part owners of Chateau Palmer.  The wines from Angludet come from vineyards which are all classified as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel and are consistently excellent.  The superb 2010 comes hot on the heels of the terrific 2009 and although expressive and open now, it will continue to develop very nicely.

2019 Bordeaux Blanc Sec, Chateau Saransot-Dupre

Semillon/Sauvignon

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac.  Due to Listrac’s cooler temperatures, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are favoured over Cabernet Sauvignon to form the majority of the blend, helping them achieve optimum ripeness.  Much like Chateau Fourcas Hosten, the wines have improved year on year since 2010 and the property were put on the radar thanks to a certain Robert Parker hailing the 2010 vintage as 'classed growth quality'.  High praise indeed!

2022 Annabel de Chateau Puybarbe, AC Bordeaux Rose

Red Blend

The Annabel de Chateau Puybarbe Rose is made from a blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Malbec grown in sustainably farmed vineyards in Bordeaux.  Delightfully pale, this pretty rosé is packed with crisp, thirst quenching red fruits with enough weight to take on summer dishes yet light enough to enjoy on it's own.  Really delightful and a refreshing change from Provence.
