Description
This Northern Rhone winery is a relative newcomer having set up in 2011 but with a passion for local gastronomy and meticulous eye for detail in their winemaking they are making quite a splash. This blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache is co-fermented with natural yeasts and gives plenty of blackberry, blackcurrant and black olive tinged fruit. 30% barrel ageing gives a whiff of spice whilst not overpowering the clean fruit allowing the wine to remain fresh despite it’s 14.5% alcohol level.

Nerello Mascalese
The Nostru range from Azienda Agricola Cortese offer terrific value, expressive wines made with grapes more commonly associated with the slopes of Mount Etna. The farming here is traditional and a nod to when organic production was a way of life rather than an informed decision.
