Bordeaux Blend

The KWV Mentors Orchestra Red wine is a multi-region, modern Bordeaux Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenere that shows an abundance of rich, dark berry fruits, with layers of blueberry, plum and blackcurrant.  The palate is balanced with concentrated, sweet dark fruit, hints of pencil lead and a herbal edge.  The finish is long and well balanced with nicely integrated oak, suggesting a good few years graceful ageing ahead for this complex red.

This vintage of Pas De Nom Rouge from Beau Constantia has a wonderful rounded and bright fruit character packed with cherry and plum characters.  Typically more'ish with the softness of the Merlot fruit given some structure and oomph from the Syrah (Shiraz) and Cabernet.
