Description

The 2018 SRS Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon, Flametree is medium to full bodied in structure with a powerful palate and fine grained tannins. The nose is dis-playing berry with dark chocolate undertones. The palate also displays ele-gance and freshness, with a beautiful balance of fruit and oak flavours, the result of 14 months oak maturation.

Flametree Wines is located on the picturesque shores of Geographe Bay in Western Australia, entry point to the renowned Margaret River wine region. The Towner family built their state of the art winery in 2007 which helps demonstrate the Company’s unwavering commitment to excellence.  Its design ensures minimal fruit handling and significant investment has been made in equipment and technology that retains the integrity and quality of fruit. Flametree draws on the strengths of the region by growing and sourcing fruit from mature vineyards in the best sub-regions, crafting wines that exhibit structure, perfume and elegance.

2014 chateau saint-pierre, 4ieme cru classe st.julien

Bordeaux Blend

The 2014 vintage of this 'under the radar' Chateau is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc.  Chateau Saint-Pierre is the smallest classed growth in Saint Julien but has a growing reputation for producing excellent, deeply coloured reds.  It is part of the Chateau Gloria stable and often eclipses it's more illustrious stablemate in blind tastings.  Prices are creeping up as their reputation grows but these beautifully made wines still represent good value.
