Description

The Dussort family have been vinegrowers and coopers based in Meursault for several generations and practise sustainable, ecologically sound viticulture on their 6 hectares if vines.

The Cuvee des Ormes is the Domaine’s flagship wine and comes from old vines spread across 4 vineyards both within the Meursault AC and just outside, hence the ‘humble’ Bourgogne Blanc classification.  Grapes are hand harvested and vinified seperately before spending a year in oak resting on their lees.  The wine is then racked and teh plots are blended into vat prior to bottling.  Very Meursault’esque, balancing elegance and delicacy with richness and terrific length.  Drink anywhere between 2 and 6 years of the vintage.

Chenin Blanc

The Zevenwacht Tin Mine White is a stunning blend of Chenin, Chardonnay, Roussanne, Viognier and Semillon, coming from vineyards planted on decomposed granite soils which lie between 200 and 350m above sea level.  Ageing in 500 litre French oak barrels helps add to the wonderful texture without detracting from the impeccably integrated exotic, spicey fruit and lively yet balanced acidity.
