Description
The 2018 Balbiacus Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru is a new release from Champagne Delavenne that immediately captured our attention when tasting their impeccable range. Made from 100% Pinot Noir this beautiful Champagne is pale golden in the glass and has a toasty nose of brioche, red fruits and mineral undertones. The palate is rounded and soft from 4 years of bottle age and finishes with a wonderful freshness and vitality that simply begs for you to go back for another sip. Mightily impressive.
Delavenne are an outstanding family run grower based in Bouzy making elegant, organic and vegan friendly Champagnes exclusively from their Grand Cru vineyards. Minimal intervention and no malolactic fermentation means that the wines are clean and lively with a distinct purity.
