Description
The estate of Les Graves de Viaud own 15 hectares of beautifully sited vineyards in the heart of the Côtes de Bourg. The soils are composed of small grit with a deep rocky sub-soil. The Betschart family farm bio-dynamically, striving to produce the best possible expression of natural Bordeaux wines possible, with the bear minimum of additions as part of their ongoing stewardship to ensure the land and vines are reflected in the glass.
This cuvée is a prime example of the potential of their “Terroir” developing maximum varietal character. Well-integrated tannins, oak and acidity give it a rich texture and a long, elegant finish. Wonderfully pure and open in it’s youth, not to mention downright drinkable, this wine will continue to improve with careful cellaring.
This vintage is composed of 40% Cabernet Franc, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon & 25% Merlot, all of which is aged in 500l French oak barrels.

Chateau Saransot-Dupre is a favourably sited 17 hectares property that lies between Fourcas Dupré and Fourcas Hosten in Listrac. 2020 Cabernet Franc Seleccion, Bodegas Rio Del Elorza, Mendoza
Cabernet Franc
The Verum Cabernet Franc Seleccion, Bodegas Rio Del Elorza has classic elements on the nose including wild strawberry, blackberry, pencil shavings and a hint of blackcurrant leaf. Lovely ripe fruits with a hint of stalky/vegetal character but not too much greenness, instead offering more body and depth of fruit and a slight touch of herbal mint. The full-bodied palate is elegant with firm tannins but a vital balancing acidity. Cedar notes show from the use of French oak and the finish is dominated by bright red fruit and mocha spice.
