Description
Taittinger’s Comtes de Champagne is a rare treat and only made in the finest vintages from 100% Chardonnay form 5 of the greatest Grand Cru vineyards in Champagne. 2011 was a particularly good vintage for Chardonnay, marked by its early ripening and drought conditions which forced the vines to delve deep in search of water for growth.
Complex yet expertly balanced with notes of toasty Brioche, citrus and minerals with a wonderful creamy texture and amazing length.

2018 touraine chenonceaux, clos roussely
Sauvignon Blanc
Vincent Roussely is the fourth generation of the family to make wines at this beautiful 8 hectare vineyard site in the heart of Chenonceaux on the Cher River. Since 2007 he has farmed his vineyards by hand, machine and horse and as a result has seen the health of his vineyards and grapes have improved immeasurably, which naturally has a direct influence on the wines he produces. Planted mainly to Sauvignon Blanc, the soil is a mixture of clay and limestone with pockets of Silex where his oldest vineyards are situated, many of which are over 80 years old in the case of the cuvee Chenonceaux.

2018 blanc de blancs, langham wine estate, dorset
Chardonnay
The nose is complex with ripe gala apple and poached pear. Some floral notes of apple blossom and honey suckle. A seriousness here too, with wet beach pebbles and toasted granary bread. A well-integrated orchard fruit acidity. Confected apple, some creaminess and great texture. A lovely salinity and citrus balances well. Some light brioche and almond notes too.
