The Cardenal Cisneros PX is an amazing, naturally sweet wine which has a fantastic, deep mahogany colour and typically rich and velvety texture. The intense palate and nose has an abundance of figs, dried fruit and raisins alongside chocolate and coffee. The wine is dense and unctuous yet posesses a really clean and balanced vein of acidity that keeps it fresh on the amazingly long finish.

It was discovered that the barrels which crossed the seas and returned to european ports came back with more complexity and silkiness, and hence this style of fortified wine was born. Technically a cream sherry, the East India Solera is a perfect companion to light desserts and cakes, but can also be served with creamy cheeses or foie-gras.

The fabulous Luis XIV Vermut Rojo is a blend of 70% young Vermut made from a base of Macabeo that has been macerated with traditional botanicals including wormwood and also a secret blend of cinnamon, cloves vanilla and orange peel. This is blended with 30% Monastrell which has been aged oxidatively for 8 years, with a further two months in ancient Fondillon barrels. The Monastrell gives the Vermut a wonderful garnet colour and adds richness to the wine. Rich, with balanced notes of herbs and spice witha bit more body than other styles, this terrific Vermut is delicious with ice and a slice of orange peel. It also comes in a quirky bottle which not only looks great but has stencilled writing that glows in the dark!
